The Running River Service Unit services the Chuluota, Geniva and Oviedo areas of Citrus Council, in Central Florida. Our sister service unit is Wildflower, who also serves some of the Oviedo area. SERVICE UNIT LEADER MEETINGS MOVED!Due to a number of our troops meeting on Monday nights, as well as the holiday conflicts the leaders at this month's Leader Meeting have asked that we move our leader meeting from the 3rd Monday to the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Please login, and check the calendar for the next Service Unit Leader Meeting! Website Committee, would you like to help?Would you like to help keep this information up to date? Please let me know if you are willing to take a little bit of time to help keep the site populated with new information from the service unit, leaders, community and council. Would you like to help contribute information? Please suggest ANY links you find useful! We would like to have an in-depth web link repository! Think about when you started in Girl Scouts, wasn't it overwhelming, and didn't you feel a little lost? The more resources we have available on the website, the more information we give our new leaders to help them get started. Even advice through FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) will do wonders for new leaders and may help us gain more new leaders for the troops! Website RegistrationWhen you register for the website, please make sure you fill out your troop information, including your troop number and your adult member type. You will have to be approved by the website management. This keeps the website secure from outsiders. Why do we want the site to be secure, and for registered users only? We have girls of all ages who will be allowed to use this site, as well as the leadership, and we need this to be a safe place for them to visit, and see what is going on. Technology is used more and more in the schools, including research for elementary age children, so it's important that we have this information available for them, so they can be more self sufficient, as well as being in a safe environment, where they can talk with other girls their age. Information from Council and Wildflower The council website, until they release the new version, is difficult at best to get around, so we will add as much council information as possible here as well sister service unit events, like those happening in Wildflower which are open to other service units. In short, the possibilities are endless! For more information, please contact us! Thank you for stopping by to see what the Running River Service Unit has to offer you today! |
